What Would I Like to Work On? Creating Habits that Change Your Life.

We all have parts of our personalities or other things in our lives we would love to or need to change. But can you really make long lasting life changes? I am here to tell you, yes, you can change your life.

This is the perfect time to change and become the best version of yourself. Begin by determining what you want to work on in your personal life. Do you want to work on something in your personality that bugs you? Is it a habit that needs changing or implemented?

Let us figure it out.

  • Evaluate your life before you make any changes. You need to know where you stand before you can change for the better. Look at each area in your personal life.
    • Love and relationships – Am I close to my partner?
    • Health and fitness – Do I need to change my eating and exercise habits?
    • Spirituality – ow connected am I spiritually?
    • Family – How is my relationship with them?
    • Emotions – Do I express my emotions or keep them bottled up?
    • Education or intellect – Am I ready to learn something new?
    • Social life – Is spending time socially with friends and meeting new people important right now?
    • Financial life – Have I taken charge of my finances?
    • My quality of life – How do I want to change the quality of my life?
  • Create the vision of what you want to change. Picture yourself in the new version of you Write down in each area of change you want to make. Ask yourself why it’s important to you. Knowing your why is important because it helps you realize you are going after what you really want.
  • Create a plan of action according to your goals. It is time to create an action plan to achieve the things you want to change.  Focus on your 3 main goals. It would be difficult to attempt to change everything at once. Get very specific about what you want to achieve, when you want to achieve it and why it is important. Break your goals down into small actionable steps you can take each day. This creates habits making it easy to work on your goal.

Changing and improving who you are means looking at what you want to work on. It means focusing on changing your habits and developing new ones.  Improving who you are depends on changing your beliefs. Believing you can change means you are more likely to make the effort to change. Focusing on the process of what you want to work on is key to growth and change.
