Embracing the Season Without Losing Progress

With the holidays right around the corner, there’s often a lot of pressure to “stay on track” and avoid losing momentum.

But what if your body is asking for a pause? What if slowing down feels right?

I get it—and as it turns out, we’re actually wired to feel this way.

Research shows that as we transition into winter, our bodies naturally crave:
🛌 More rest
🍲 Comfort and nourishment
🔥 A slower, more intentional pace

It’s biology—not a lack of discipline.

Slowing down doesn’t mean letting go of your routines entirely.

What if you modified them to fit the season better instead?

For example, if your goal is [specific result—e.g., “building consistency in your habits”], here’s what that might look like:

  • Swap long outdoor walks for shorter indoor stretches or yoga flows
  • Replace evening workout sessions with quicker morning workouts to free up your evenings
  • Try meal delivery services or pre-prepped options in place of prepping everything from scratch

For me, this season looks like using a fresh meal delivery service, allowing me to slow down and nurture my body.

In other words, life has its seasons.

Sometimes, we’re going full steam ahead—and sometimes, rest and flexibility are what we need most.

Seeing these moments as opportunities to modify instead of quit can help you break free of the “start-stop” cycle that leaves many of us stuck.

That’s why, over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing ways to stay aligned with your goals without the pressure this holiday season, including:
✅ Setting boundaries to protect your time and energy
✅ Enjoying holiday indulgences without the guilt
✅ Simple ways to stay active—even with a packed schedule
✅ Shifting your habits from “have to” to “get to”

And so much more.

Let’s wrap up 2024 with balance, joy, and alignment. You’ve got this!
